Goatskin, not split cowhide. It is thinner and softer, needs no breaking in and does not go stiff after drying. It is also stronger than its thickness suggests, so it suits work that needs a firm grip.
Good to know. Leather gloves should fit snugly without pinching – the leather stretches slightly with use. Cut resistance is level 1: these gloves protect against abrasion during handling, not against cuts. The leather is natural, so differences in grain and shade between pairs are normal.
